Welcome

Welcome to my blog.  The picture of Mt. Arbel was taken on my recent study tour of Israel in March of 2009.  It reminds me that prayer takes hard work and discipline.  It is thought Jesus may have spent the night on Mt. Arbel praying before He chose His twelve apostles.  Luke writes, “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God.  When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles.”  Luke 6:12-13 NIV

During our tour of Israel we climbed Mt. Arbel.  It took a lot of disciplined and focused effort to make it to the top.  I have found it to be the same way with prayer.  Every day Satan puts cliffs or boulders in the way of me  praying.  So I must stay disciplined in my effort to be obedient in prayer.  Prayer is hard work.  But the time in communion with Christ is my life.  He is the air I breathe.

  1. Dear Mike, I used to be involved in the prayer ministry. I would like to get involved again. Could you please give me a review of where to login, id, and password, if needed? I read all of your blog today and I know He has been calling me back to pray.
